About Econschool
Why this exists, who makes it, and how to reach us.
Why Econschool exists
Econschool is built to serve students, because we care about economics. The aim is a high-quality, lasting learning resource for current and future economics students — one that holds to mathematical rigor, prefers depth to virality, and stays useful whether ten students use it or ten thousand.
The free material — lectures, courses, problems, and tools — is the core of that purpose, and it stays free. Live teaching may be offered alongside it in time, but the open resource is the point of the site, not a route to anything paid.
Who makes it
Econschool is run by Amit Goyal, an economics coach and academic specialist affiliated with NYU Abu Dhabi, with a background at the Indian Statistical Institute and the Delhi School of Economics. His work centers on microeconomic theory and economics education.
The LaTeX presentations behind the video lectures are created together with Nidhi Jain.
